Has anyone tried the Weatherstrip Kits that Corvette America sales?
I have had good luck with other CA products, but their price with a current discount for weatherstripping sounds too good to be true.
A search of this Forum for "weatherstrip" finds many CF owners are very satisfied with the weatherstripping Wilcox sales.
Also, OEM weatherstripping through the Chevy dealer for my 1987 Convertible is still available, of course their price is extremely high.
I need to do mine sometime soon, and my research sounds like yours: Willcox is the best value for the money. GM is the best you can buy, but is absurdly expensive.
When the fellow redid my weatherstripping he told me he was going to purchase it from Corvette America. As I didn't purchase it directly I can't say for sure that is what he used. I'm pretty unsatisfied with his quality of work. The weatherstripping itself was much denser than what was already on the car. It is so dense that the weak window regulators will no longer roll the window up all the way. I had to leave the doors closed for about a week to break the new stuff in but now the doors close all the way again. Overall I like the extra density I just wish my windows would go all the way up.
I bought mine from Ecklers for my 93 convertible. I just needed 1 piece but they had 2 different grades. I purchased the higher price one because I was told it was equal to factory and still was less than 1/2 the price of GM
I shopped around at all the known vette supply house's we talk about here. Wilcox had the best prices when I was looking. I bought from Wilcox. My weatherstriping still looks great. Im very happy with my wilcox weatherstripping.

Thanks for letting me know! That is the type of info I need.
Your experience is interesting and reminds me of a similar problem, especially if your weatherstripping came from Corvette America. I used Corvette America's replacement seat foam in my seats, it also was too dense. I sat too high, even with the sportseats in the lowest position. As a fix I cut about 3/4 inch out of the bottom to be able to get sun-visor out of my view so I could see traffic lights. Yes I can feel the wire spring extension below the foam.
Certainly the weatherstrip foam needs to soft enough to allow all the doors, roof, and windows close properly. Also, stiff enough to remove rattles and vibrations.

The leak I have is it seems to be running down the front inside of the door(near the fuse box) and onto the rug. Does anyone know what molding would typically have eailed?

IM yes, it would have helped me earlier today. I could not call and while attempting to place my order on the website my order stopped at:
“Please choose from your address book where you would like the items to be delivered to.”
Maybe the website thought Alaska was inter-national. The US mail (US POSTAL SERVICE) delivery comes to my house, just like the rest of the country.

I have been under the impression since buying my 1987 12 years ago that a leak was standard for all C4s. Maybe my new Wilcox weatherstrips will take care of that.
Here is my solution, 90% effective during a heavy rain. If the leak occurs after closing the door with the window up, then motor the window down a few inches and then motor it back up. Alternative: if a leak occurs after you motor the window up, then open and close the door. Good Luck!

Good, but you may want to check out RD Racing's Weatherstripping with other CF members. Besides the price, the density of the weatherstrip has to be right. If too stiff, your doors may not close properly. If too soft, well you can imagine the problems. Be cautious check it out.
I wish I would have check out the foam I used in my seats with other CF before purchasing and installing it a few years ago.
