Default GTS tail light removal?

The Corvette that I purchased recently has GTS tail light covers on it. I need to know how to take them off. Thanks, Kevin

Default Re: GTS tail light removal? (Spdracer)

every set of GTS tail light blackouts I have seen use hook and loop (velcro) disks in the corners to "stick" onto the tail lens, turn on the running lights and look for the dark spots and that is most likely the velcro disks, use a small angled pick (90 deg) to slip between the housing and the cover and rotate it so the pick can be used to pull the cover off,and that should do it, Also if you don't want to re-install the covers peel the fasteners off and gently scrape the residue off the lens or try gum-gone or similar paste that removes the glue without scratching or hazing the plastic.

they are rare but have seen a few styles of GTS blackout kits (mostly front) that will use a mounting bracket to position the cover (z-28 headlamp mid 80's) but the covers were attached the same way with hook and loop fasteners to the bracket.

Hope this helps! and if i am wrong let me know!
