Default ruby red smoke

i have my ruby red 93 coupe and since im in college i have not driven it for a month today i turn it on and white smoke comes out of the exhaust , and i was wondering , could the smoke just be because of it standing still? old fuel?? or something bigger and a overwhelming smell of exhaust and water drips from the exhaust what can this be??? since im new to owning a corvette is this normal??

Unless it's really cold there, it could be burning antifreeze due to a head gasket problem. I wouldn't drive it until you find out for sure. .02

Before you get worried or excited just go to an auto parts store and get a test kit for bad head gasket. It could be nothng more than condensate from sitting (hopefully, maybe).

It should drip water from the exhaust till it warms up a bit..just sounds like a normal start up on a cool day, does the smoke/steam stop after a few minutes? does the gas smell subside? The gas smell will always be there for a little bit till the cats "ignite".

yes the white smoke is not constant it comes and goes but after it warms up it disappears, and every time i turn it on i press the gas pedal,(habit) ,, , but the white smoke only hows its face once i turn it on then it disappears , i checked the oil and the coolant the coolant is not low , and the oil is not milky , so i doubt its a head gasket , the smell is present when i turn it on then it subsides, i think its carbon residue burning off , the previous owners used cheep gas , but i am now using chevron so i think once i re fill it it will be ok , hopefully

If it's just clear water your OK. If it has the smell and color of your Anti-Freeze then you are in trouble.

Be of good cheer, young feller!

When I wuz 19 and going to college, I had a Jag XKE that gave me fits.

You wanna talk about a CASH PIT!!!

I agree with the "normal condensation" opinions.
