The last I read C7 development was on hold. As a cost-saving measure, GM was considering heavy modification to the current C6 sometime around MY 2013. Let's all pray that there is a GM around in 2013 and enough people with cash/credit to buy new Corvettes.
Luis -- where'd you get those shots? They look a lot to me like spy shots and "guesswork" from about 2003 or so when everyone was trying to guess what the C6 would look like. I think Sweet 90's pic is much more likely -- it looks like the 2013 restyle concepts I've seen.
IMO If you seen the Sky and Solace you seen the C7. Washington will have a say into telling GM what to build in the future, and I don't think it will be 400 plus Horsepower Corvettes. Remember they want fuel efficient, safe reliable cars and trucks from GM for their bail out money. 16 City and 28 highway is not impressive to those in Washington. And you can bet they will be watching. Im sure they want cars getting in the upper 30s which the new Corvette can not achieve. The Sky and Pontiac were able in its V6 version to get into the lower 30s. Im sure a Hybrid Corvette will also be expected. It just may be the mid 70s all over again when we drove 165 HP Corvettes. But they burned cleaner than anything else in Corvettes past and that made the people in DC feel all aglow. Lets hope I don't know what Im talking about.
oh no, another "bugs bunny", but with "attitude" problems vs the c6 "dumb bunny" front end..."brenda big butt" c5 was bad, and all "downhill" since...gotta look elsewhere for my next.
