Anyone have any knowledge or wiring diagrams that can tell me what else the fuse for the courtesy lights controls? If i pull this fuse as a "solution" to my courtesy lights, will i lose any other features?
Pulling the fuse is a quick and dirty way of testing the circuit, but what you really need is the Factory Service Manual for your year of Corvette. FSM's are typically a 2-book set and the electrical diagnosis section has the complete wiring diagrams with separate diagrams for the power wires and the grounding wires.
The FSM also has specific troubleshooting procedures for each electrical system, a component locator section that shows exactly where in the car all electrical components are attached, and pictures of every type of wire harness connectors used in the car.
Specific year FSM's can be found in the C4 Parts For Sale section, eBay or going right to the Helm website to buy a brand new copy. Used copies can run around $50-$75 and new ones for around $120 or so but it is money well spent
I lost other functions, can't remember which ones. My sentry lights were staying on all the time, battery went down. There's a timer relay, and that's what usually goes bad. Luckily they fixed mine.
On a 90, the CTSY fuse controls your interior lights, the HVAC control head ( Electronic only), the Bose amp relay, engine lampos, cigarette lighter and antenna relay.
