Weight Calculation
I'm trying to determine the amount of weight I've shaved off since I originally bought my car. So far the major changes is an EFI to carb swap, A/C & air pump delete, custom 2.5" cat-back with a cat delete and single muffler & tips. Also, I have a crate motor with aluminum heads, but the block is still CI. So, basically, I need to know the weights of a few oem things:
-throttle body
-plenum
-runners
-base intake(I assume roughly the same weight as a dual-plane)
-2 mufflers(over 1)
-cat. converter
-air pump
-CI heads compared to aluminum(I hear ~40lbs. but I want a second opinion)
I've managed to figure out from tire carrier and A/C removal, along with the speakers, I have taken off ~65lbs. I've searched for similar threads, but none have exact weights of the components I need. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
