He is right, hook the inside bar under the clip and then take a long wide screwdriver and while holding the edge of the cushion out push the outside bar under the outside clip..Sounds complicated but you just have to use brute force and bend the cushion a little...WW
Did you get the seat backs in? It was 8 years ago when I did mine, and I remember that my hands were like hamburger meat when I was done. The bottoms went in easy, the tops were a royal PITA.

We we got ours I had the same problem. I removed some of the foam around the area that hooks the seat to the back and slightly bend the wire area that hooks to the back outward and then like the others said, used a big *** screw driver to hook them up. They popped right in !

Fitted,but took me awhile,broke out in a sweat(maybe that was because of the beer though LOL)not as easy as they looked to install.
I heard the Al Knoch were the best so thats what I went for.The finish is good,Feel a bit firm to sit in after my old seats(worn out but comfortable.)
