I am having a problem relating to the operation of my power door locks.
Either using the remote key button or the power door locking button on either door, my door locks will NOT fully activate thus not locking EITHER door. I can only lock the doors (driver and passenger) by further pushing the manual door locking lever to the rear. Do I need to access the door mechanism and lubricate the locks or do I need to replace the power door solenoids? I appreciate all answers. Art
It helps to check, Did they both start doing this at the same time,I'v had problem with one and it was the ground wire i would not rule it out for both.

How did you fix it? In the door some where, or was it under the dash? Thanks Douglas , something just one door pass/right door lock.
Thanks for the replies. I have been busy replacing all the radiator and heater hoses so hopefully I can get back on the door lock problem.
When using the remote key lock, the passenger door manual lever will move about half way and the outside door handle is locked and you can't open the door. On the drivers side the manual lever will move half way but the outside door handle is not locked and you can OPEN the door. When I push the alarming button on the key fob I do hear the locks cycling. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Art
Sounds like the door actuators are shot, but both at the same time is rather odd. Pull the door panel and look for binding. Also a little dialetic grease at the door lock rod hinge points and the plastic slider points may work wonders. It did for my lazy lock on the drivers side.

I have the same issue on my '93 coupe. Locks are sticky and I have to push the switch in the door to the lock position 3-4 times for the lock to fully actuate. I'm sure it's just binding up somewhere, I just haven't gotten around to taking the door apart and grease the locks.
