Default Brake Issues

Does anyone know how to test your master cylinder to see if it is ok?

Usually when the master cyl goes out the brake pedal will slowly creep to the floor under pressure, If you've had to add brake fluid I would check master and all wheel cylinders for leakage, brake hoses, lines etc. If everything looks dry and you haven't opened the system anywhere that would let air in and the pedal goes to the floor under pressure then I would be pretty sure the master cylinder is leaking internally and needs to be replaced.

I have a question about my brakes on my 84. When I push the pedal after the car warms up, the pedal is really hard to push and only goes down a couple of inches while not stopping the car too good.

What do you think this problem is? The pads have plenty of pad left on them.

Either a bad booster or a lack of vacuum. Can you hear any hissing from the booster with a light brake application?

I can not hear any hissing. The pedal is fine until the car warms up, misleading me in any routine repair.

I may change the booster and see if that works.

Before you swap the booster just pull the vac line off (engine cold and then again warmed up) and see what kind of vacuum you have.
