i've been trying to seel my 92 coupe for almost 6 months now, and have not had 1 call. What gives? It has 44k on it, extras include power drivers seat, Green and Black, automatic, glass top, new kumhos, adjustable fuel regulator, K&N filter and lid, Mass sensor relocator, Air foil, loyds, mats front and rear, car cover and some other extras.. I'm asking 17.000. Which is negotiable. I can't figure it out. http://home.epix.net/~tperry/Vette.html
What do ya'll think its worth?
I agree with above. Not really a buyers or sellers market for cars, wait till spring.....theres something about sunny days and people being in the mood to spend money.
Where were you in 1999 when I was looking for a 92, If I remember in 99 the 92's were going for around 19k.
That sure looks like a pretty car, and the miles are nice and low. You might be a little high, but if the car looks
as good in person as it does in the pic, I would think someone would take it off your hands if you wait it out.
Where are do you have it advertised ?
Number 1 is timing, I looked at cars right about 6-7 mo ago and saw a ton, many for months. In PA people are looking for 4 wheelers in the fall and winter. Number 2 is that the price may be scaring some off--I looked at a 93 w/60K, perfect shape, new Firehawks for 16.5 and it sold in Aug for 16.
3 is that you haven't found the right buyer yet--someone to look at a car @17K, even if it is negotiable--
Brace yourself, but the Kelly Blue Book http://www.kbb.com on your car for a private sale is about 12-13K (that is excellent condition). That is what potential buyers are looking at...
Man, I wish I waited a year to buy my vette. I could be paying about $3k less if I had bought it now :(.
heh you had a case of corvette fever too eh, glock?
Well, that, and the stock market was down already at that time so I was thinking it was close to the "bottom of the bucket" in financial terms ... but 9/11 set off everything again, and according to my guess earlier, put a whole right in the bottom of the bucket and went about 2 feet deeper!
The market just stinks right now for most cars. I just paid my 91 off and looked at the private seller value on http://www.kbb.com . Needless to say, I think I am going to keep her forever. I just can't see giving it away.
