Stupid header question...
When I introduced my son to the hobby a little more than a year ago he kept saying that he needed "longtube" headers. We always had "headers" and "shorty" headers when we built our beaters back in the early 80s. Well I am bored now and thought that I would get this straight in my head.
Now all that I read are posts talking about "longtube" headers like they are something special. Like the "frisbee" mod or something

So my question is:
Is there a difference between the BBC C3 Hedman elites that I run and "longtubes" or is it just what the "new" generation calls full length headers?

With you. On the old stuff and not knowing new "termanogoly"?In the old days, they were all long tube to me.
Remember running open headers on the street?
My N-50-15's lasting less than a month.
No smog.
The good old days.

SHORTIES:

Everything seems to need a new name to justify the new prices....
either way, when they say LT or midlength, or even shorty, even if you dont know cars, by looking at them you will know which is which. if you just called them headers we would have even more ???? posts on which headers to get. would get topics like this
What is better for my car??? headers? headers? or should i just stick with headers??
