the day after christmas, i ordered a corsa catback system for my 90 coupe from JEGS. the price was $738.99 + a small handling fee, and my total bill was $750 + change. so, i'm surfing their website tonight, and i see a january 09 price increase for the same system - HOLY CRAP!
while a great system at the rate they are going they will price thereself out, 1,500.00? when you can get a system for a lot less, Magnaflow, SLP and others. While everyone agrees they are the solution to the drone problem I think at some point some will just live with the drone....G

Except they had already priced themselves out at $1100. Now it's just stupid. What the heck are they thinking? Labor costs can't be going up, and material costs have to be plummeting... Now is not the time to be increasing prices, or taxes, for that matter - but that's another topic...
I have a B&B system and wanted to switch out for a Corsa - but could not bring myself to pay $1100 for one. At least I can forget about it now as I will NOT pay $1500...
Memo to Corsa: Take a look at the economy, it's bad, not the time to be raising prices. Do you really think that many people in these bad times can afford to spend that much for a cat back exhaust? While there are some that will spend 1,500.00 plus for the system there are many more that will look for a less expensive system. These are the companies that eventually go out of business and dont have a clue why. Again great system probually the best but at some point you price yourself out....G

For every cheap *** C4 owner, there is a C6 owner willing to plunk down 2k on an exhaust system.

well i doubt I would call them cheap ***,how about wise spenders of their $$$. Remember the only difference you are getting for the additional large $$$ is the missing drone. If Magnaflow or someone else comes up with something to kill the drone than Corsa might end up with a large stock of products that sit because they are overpriced. That my friend is how they go out of business. When your product sits on the shelf and people are buying another system than production first slows down, than shuts down, than they lay off people Lets see some companies that are biting the bullett right now for running a company out of touch with the buyer, GM, Chrysler, Ford, AC/Delco and the list goes on. And I dont think c6 owners will be changing their titanium quality exhaust that early. The C6 has a very special exhaust system, all under warrenty for awhile. Corsa's business is with the C5 & C4 crowd. Time will tell....G

now all you people can do is wait for a used setup or a wreck! That is just obserd, I paid 300 for stainless steel dual straights which was was maybe too much, but I am happy, 1500 no way, I had an 89 with a nice exhaust system like this and I would never pay that to put it back on.
Last spring I flipped a coin, deciding whether to get long tube headers or a Corsa cat-back, and the long tubes won. Sounds like I'll be sticking with my factory exhaust for a long time.
WOW... What happened there!!!! Right before Thanksgiving I ordered the Corsa System for my 1994 LT1 from Jegs price to the door step was $1180.52...It is a good thing I made the decision before Christmas....$1583.00 would have been more than I was willling to pay..

Theres a very inexpensive way around this dilema... Muffler deletes... If you retain the factory resonator... I dont think you will have too worry too much about volume or drone. Im sure there are plenty of vid/sound clips of muf delete C4's out there... You should check into it!

Good buy and good luck! I have a full Melrose exhaust with no mufs or resonators... (Thats just my style) But I have heard quite a few of these corsas and they sound incredible! GL!
