Default Need Help Decoding VIN

Hello again.
I have looked at several Vettes to purchase ranging between '94 to '96.
All are LT1 automatic coupes.
I have noted that the first 8 digits of the VINs are the same. The next 2 digits vary. Digits 11 and 12 are always "5" and "1" and then the production number (I assume).

My question is regarding digits 9 and 10.
To make it easier, the ones in question are:

XR
0T
4R

Can anybody help out here?
Thanks,
Mark

Digit 10 is the year it was produced.

'84 E
'85 F
'86 G
'87 H
'88 J
'89 K
'90 L
'91 M
'92 N
'93 P
'94 Q
'95 R
'96 S

I think the 9th one is a check digit which varies, I'll check.

Here is a 1996 decoder. The only thing that really changes year by year are the engine codes. The country code didn't used to have 4 as a USA option either.
