I have a vinyl cutter/plotter and was thinking that I could create a graphic to place on the underside of the clam shell. I was thinking that with this method I could remove it at some point without damage to the original finish.
I recall seeing some that have been painted and some with a separate piece that is installed - but not any made from vinyl material.
I think that the heat under the hood would be the reason that nobody has tried this before
The C6 guys have done this mod on many of their cars. It appears some were airbrushed directly on the underside of the hood while others have added a seperate piece. I am assuming because they are airbrushed, the durablity is better then vinly graphics.
That's what I was looking for - is that airbrushed as someone mentioned, or vinyl ? BTW, vinyl will withstand some pretty hot temps - I would think exterior applications on vehicles metal or windows would be pretty darn hot. I may be wrong so that is why I asked. Worse case I guess is I waste some vinyl material.
