c4 problems

on my 86 vette in the fuse pannel the one marked LCD wich uses a 5 fuse burns out as soon as it is replaced, need help new to the corvette first one ever and ist giving me a headache.

I'm gussing a bad cluster. But before you spend any money, check the wiring in the circuit. I can't do it, but maybe someone can post it.

have you tried a higher fuse, say 15

- that circuit is designed to blow at 5 amps - sticking in a larger fuse could damage electronic components or worse. stick with the 5A, and troubleshoot the circuit. i don't have my 85 anymore, and i don't have a FSM to help with the 86 instrument cluster circuitry. NEVER STICK IN A LARGER FUSE - PERIOD!!!
