They are added by some moron wanting to add to the star wars dash effect.
They are staging lights to practice for the drag strip. A mini tree if you will.
Now what they are really for? ask the Bozo you bought the car from.
My guess.......
MAF burn off volts............red
Aux fan on......................yellow
fuel pump powered...........green
The next question........do any of them work?
It does look like a nice clean install.Garage Opener? Xtree override for the strip? Is that a .22 cartridge in the tray too? Maybe remote firing switches?
bought my first corvette, a 1986 with 63k miles. my question is what are the 3 buttons on the console for? red yellow and green, they dont seem to do anything but i dont have a owners manual to know what they do. thanks
Remeber the 'light organs' we built in the 70's, that were connected to the home stereo for parties? Well, this appears to be an automotive version. If you play something by Pink Floyd, the effect inside the car should be quite striking.
i traced the wires from my three colored switches and they end up going to the tranny wiring harness, but i dont feel a difference in shifting when i push a different button so do you think i should leave or trash the switches

That is bizarre. I meant what the hell are you going to do with tapping into the trans wiring harness that's going to have any effect.
maybe firming up the shift points? i know they can be firmed up since its all electronic as i had a b&m shift improver on a z71 chevy truck. all i did there was connect two wires into the harness and it worked. beats me
