Thats about it otherwise it seems to be an ok unit for 100 bux but I am curious to see how it would work on a cloudy day because it wouldnt work sitting in a carport on a sunny day,i had to roll out of the carport for it to initialize.
I took mine out of the box and layed it up on the dash loosely to give the item a test fit (I did this test at night). The best place I have found so far is right behind the top of the Steering wheel in the little shelf area of the dash (MY90-93). The base of the unit is magnetic and mates to the bracket well the bracket can bend easily to adjust the angle. You will need to use the bracket or you wont get the angle needed for the unit to project to the windshield. You cannot simply lay it on top of the dash. My unit synced in about 30 seconds and the speed between it and my speedometer is about dead even. The device has three lights on the front of the unit facing away from you a red led for power a green flashing led for syncing with sats and a blue light for bluetooth sync with palm computers and such. The compass is a little different looking but it works well. The units features are the HUD, A Compass and speed warning setting (I dont plan on using the last function lol).
I plan in tying my unit into my accessory wire under the console trim plate. While the C4 rake on the window is extreme I believe the final postion of the bracket at a slight cant will solve the viewing problem. I wont get to this project for a few weeks as im having headers and new cats installed on my ride. The on and off buttons are on the side of the unit as is the function button. This unit will read in MPH or KPH for my Northern brothers. The unit suggests not leaving it in sunlight in extreme temps which works for me because I will plan on putting the device in my console when parking the car. I dont like giving anybody and excuse to break into my car. The device is about the size of a package of cigarettes but slightly longer and thinner.
I think its worth the effort to mount the unit (WTH its only velcro) and I will share some pics as I start the project, Again that wont be for a few weeks as my car is in the shop. As to the price and finding it cheaper somewhere else well isnt that always the case? I found the cost to be decent for what it is (a budget freindly HUD). Im going to give it a try so stay tunned. I dont feel screwed in anyway, the device works as advertised and once I figure out where it works for me I plan on sharing that with the rest of the community. I am also interested in seeing how the unit performs in daylight. GC

hmmm... sounds like it's worth it! Thanks for the updates/reviews guys! I do mostly night driving, so this is 1 more thing on my list of items to get before I take it out this summer.
CrazyCowboy- How is stock of this item, and will you be getting more if you run out before summer?

I recall more than one thread on this board several years ago about an after market HUD that would work in the C4 that was not tied to a GPS but rather to the car itself.

Hey Tim,
Sent you a PM. Since I'm going to be right in your area this weekend I'll come out and see if I can't get it to switch. I will bring a replacement as well in case it is not working right. I'll call the manufacturer and see if they have ever had any issues with that happening as well.

I've got about 10 units in stock, but those may go quick once I post a little on here and get the website updated to be available for the public to see. I will be ordering 100 more next week, figure 2 weeks build/ship time from when I order to get them.
You can order and if I'm sold out I'll email or call to let you know the status and will refund payment to anyone who doesn't want to wait as well.

I don't have any C4 pics yet, however a couple customers are doing installs on them and will be making a write-up with pics and info soon. If they don't get posted here first, I will make sure to let you know where to find them.
