Hello all. After half of my life spent dreaming of having a Corvette, I finaly own one. 96 C4, LT4 6 speed manual with 64,000 miles on her; I'm in heaven . All is well with my new investment except for one thing, the cruise control does not work. I have checked the fues but thats not the problem so I'm hopeing someone here can help. Any advice will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

The easiest thing to check first is the three way vacuum check. It's located on the right side of the engine coming off the intake manifold. One line goes into the dash for Air Conditioner control and the other line goes to the Cruise control valve.
There are two vac hoses to the sevo (0ver the battery). One supplies constant vac to the servo to suck the cable in. The other goes to a switch on the brake pedal. When the pedal is depressed the switch opens and the servo loses vac, thus disengaging the cruise control. Might be a 3rd switch on a manual, not sure about that part, mine is an A4.
Congrats on the new ride!!!!

Try that first
Mine cruise was a little jerky when using the switch to increase speed. I replaced this and it fixed it right up. Good luck and welcome.
I guess i'll add my input in here. The little plastic thing on the right side of the engine was broken on my car.
I found out because my air wasn't working. But that thing is pretty fragile if you ask me so i'd check there first as it's very easy to spot if that's a potential problem.
Would like to jump in here also. I have a similiar problem. My cruise does not work either. The previous owner replaced the battery and there is a small plastic vacuum line that broke. I can not seem to see where it gets connected back to.
ALSO my vents in the car is stuck in the defrost mode. I am hoping the plastic line goes to the dash and that will solve at least one if not two of my problems
