Default Help with Touch Up Paint

Hey, everyone .... thanks in advance for your advice on this one.
I have a 1988 Corvette coupe, bright red. I ordered touch up paint
for my car: item code #272 (86-92 GM Code 81). The red touch up paint is slightly too orange (light) for my car, which has obviously been repainted a slightly darker red. Can you suggest what color red/code I might try next? I just need a few nicks here and there touched up, so I am wondering if a generic red touch up paint stick or bottle might work? Any suggestions on what red to look for?
Thanks!

Go to a automotive paint store and get a red paint card, hold it up next to your car and see which one best matches your car..Then order that number...WW

Remove the gas door lid and take it to an automotive paint supply shop. They can match the color of the gas door lid and mix a small can of touch up paint.

I got some from mamo, and it looks off until it dries then you can't tell you touched it up. But my paint is very fresh so that is easier!
