i just changed the motors in my 90 roadster yesterday, and what that looks like to me is there is a star head screw on the bottom of the frame, and it looks like either that screw is loose, or missing, it is a PITA to get to, you might check that

i'm under my screenname now, i forgot my that my dads name was signed in on his computer

here is a pic of the back of the motor bracket, the top hole is the star screw that is viseable when you open the hood, the side hole bolts to the underside of the hood with a 10 MM bolt, the slot is the one i was talking about, there is a star screw the same kind that is in the upper hole, it is a SOB to get to, i ended up using a star bit, hooked to a 1/4" socket, and an extention to get to it, i recommend that you pull the headlight assembly out to get to it

i tried to take pics of it in the car, so its pitch black out there, and you can only do soo much with a digital, i will try, and get better pics in the car to show you

my main bracket has gm 165039551a wrote on it. My motor has 16510063lh0115 on it...

Anyone know actual gm part numbers on all the headlight brackets and crap so I can track what need or don't need??? Tried these numbers on a gm part# site but failed..

They have modified the motor to fit the brackets on mine see where they cut and welded today when I pulled it out...

can you show a pic where it was broke, and welded?
the numers i have on my brackets are LH# 16510051 and RH# 16510062

like i said before, on my 90 there is a triangular gusset that bolts onto the motor bracket, and then it bolts to another bracket, and i noticed your missing thoes gussetts, i snapped some pics off for you

i just looked up thoes numbers, and it says drive motor, i'm not sure if you can get just the brackets, you might have to get a whole new motor

Ill try and get pics tomorrow.. They narrowed the brace holding the motor elimination that star screw hole you was speaking of...

Im in the process of trying to buy a whole new/used assembly.. Its out of a 95 everything together...

That should give me enough parts to build one.... Its supposed to be good just swap my silver headlight covers onto it hopefully...

As for the gussetts ill have to look into them you helped me once again... Thanxxxx... My car is a high milage everyday driver snow and all so I want everything working properly...

i can totally concure that you want everything working, your motors sound alot better then mine did, at least yours turned off when going up, and down, mine would continue to run 30 seconds after they were open, or closed, its nice to have ones that function properly
