What is the best way to check and see if your rear-end is slipping ?
I have a 86 corvette with the 4+3 tranny and I think I have some sliipage, My tires also don't have much tread life on them.

What do you mean "rear end slipping"? Are you losing traction (bald tires will do that) or do you think there is something wrong with the rear end (differential)?

If you do a burn-out and only one tire is spinning, the clutches in the rear are shot. Hence a sliping rear.
Under hard exceleration on the street you wouldn't be able to tell if your rear is sliping, unless you break traction and only one tire spins.
