Remote question
You'll have to purchase a FOB & try programming to to see if your system is operational.
You can try ebay, or a dealer. I'm sure another member will mention a source for you.
If you plan on keeping the Vette it would be adviseable to purchase an owners manual & if your a mechanically inclined a factory service manual.
This may help in the interim...

I got my Vette Oct of 2007. A '95 Coupe, it didn't have a remote with it. I bought one off ebay and it didn't work. I took the car to the stealership (before I bought a program for my laptop to interrogate all onboard computers and and reflash my ECM); they were unable to get it to work. later I found the PKE keyfob worked, it was my car that was broken.
I sold the remote to another Vette owner for the same amount I paid (it worked great for him).

Then a year later I broke down and bought an aftermarket keyless entry system (Goldcylon has aftermarket systems in both of his Vettes). I like it a lot and it gives me a few more functions than the PKE system would. It costs the same amount for the aftermarket system with installation that a functional stock remote costs.
However, on days like today when the temps are below freezing, I wish I had bought a model with a remote start option...

The temp at my house this morning. That's a "minus" sign in front of that 11.0. Eleven degrees below zero, F. Not that Metric "C" stuff.
My Subaru truck has a remote start feature, so I used it and it was nice and toasty-warm when I left the house.
