Ok so I had a Mobile window tint service come out and tint my 94 vette..lol..This guy was horrible..He messed up the back window 3 times..He tries doing it it all in 1 piece..I removed the struts and lactch for him...He still messed it up..He tried telling me the water bubbles in the tint would go away in 2 weeks..I just atrated laughing at him and told him to fix it or leave...He even messed up the side windows..Both are bubbling up after only 12 hours..lol...I haven't paid the company any money because they haven't actually done any work of quality..They want to come back out on Thursday..Should I give this guy another shot? He's the owner of the company..and from what i SAW HE'S NOT VERY GOOD..AND HE'S CHARGING $250 FOR THE CAR

I believe I'd find someone else to do it. It takes an experienced installer to do the rear glass. It would be in your best interest to get what he did OFF the car ASAP before it dries completely.

Yes you do need to get it "REMOVED"! QUICKLY!!!!!
Oh and BTW-remove it yourself! A slip of "the blade" and "your car" will be in much worse condition than it is NOW!

I already took it off the back glass when he was still here...I'm going to call him in a couple of hours when his buisness is open again before removing the sides..I don't want him charging me for some 12 year old work..lol.. Thanks Guys
I highly reccomend Chris at "A Darker Shade" He has a mobile service and has done two of my familys C4s with a one piece rear install. Never an issue. He is well know in the local Arizona Vett community. And I didnt need to help him. You also get to pick ahem the "Correct shade" for AZ.

Does the rear defroster grid cause any problems with the window tint?
A Fair question but since I live in AZ I dont test the rear defroster that much. But it can get up to 160 inside the car on the hot summer days so I would have to say it probably can handle the heat from the defroster elements.
Does the rear defroster grid cause any problems with the window tint?
My 85 back window tint is 1 piece, i just have trouble with the tint on the side windows staying on up top. Ive used the rear defroster many, many times, never had an issue with the tint.

I have most of my cars tinted over the last 20 years and have never had a problem with the defroster on the tint. If nothing else, the tint helps protect the grid on the glass.

Protects the grid from what?? The tint film is only 2, maybe 3 mm thick if that.....
The tint can be seamed at the defroster grid by a competent installer and appear to be one piece. Make certain that the installer cuts around the hatch struts as those will twist a nasty pattern into the tint.

Your right they can but a few installers local here pride themselves on the true one piece rear corvette install. It takes a lot more time than the normal tint job. GC
