Default Paint question...

Hi everyone...just bought an Aquamarine 92 with rough paint and wanted to paint it Admiral Blue...I think it was a 95 color? Does anyone have the little black book and would be so kind as to inform me of the paint code so that I can order the paint and also if it is a clear basecoat or metallic...any input would be appreciated...DDBS

It was available in 94 and 95 (as well as all 96 Grand Sports).
I believe GM's name for it was Dark Cloisonne Metallic, code 28/WA128A.

Thank you TA and Gary96, just what I needed...now I can find out how expensive that paint is going to be. My painter said I would need a gallon of basecoat and a gallon of clearcoat. I knew I could get good info. from my fellow vette owners......DDBS

It is VERY expensive, one of the most. It's been a couple of years since I shot one, and prices were ridiculous then. Be sure and buy the paint the PAINTER wants, (they can be picky!) If I remember, it didn't cover well, so you might need a base coat, in addition to the color base coat. Doors and jambs will eat up at least a quart, so figure that in.
