Hey guys I need to replace the interior on my 35th anniversary,(carpet, door panels, leather), and I was wondering on the quality I would get from say, ecklers, corvette america, or mid america? If anyone has bought these items let me know if the quality was up to snuff, or if I should go somewhere else.
Thanks ahead of time for your responses. :smash:
I think most of the carpet is actually made by ACC (American Custom Carpet or something like that), but you might want to check the prices at Yankee Lady (Wilcox Corvette). I got a carpet set from them, excellent to deal with. http://www.yankeelady.com/willcox/index.htm
Get the GM part numbers for each piece of carpet you need, and call Vintage Parts 1-877-846-8243. They buy up discontinued GM interior parts and sell them off at less than half of what GM originally charged. They are not customer oriented, and only deal in part numbers...you need those before you call. ACC has had a few quality complaints here on the forum. Don't deal with John's Corvette Care in MI...just bad news.
If you buy the top quality leather from Ecklers, it's good quality leather (better than factory)...but sort of expensive.
I don’t know how soon U are looking 2 get U’r interior, but if U can wait until the Corvettes @ Carlisle or Spring @ Carlisle U might get a better deal if U get down that way. I got my leather seats with the 35th logo their last year 4 a lot less than the catalog prices. :yesnod:
