i wanted to know if anybody here has tried or is using muffler eliminator pipes i want a rumble when i get on it and i am not ready for the full system yet $$$$ and also does it add any hp thanks
I had them on my '95, it's the cheapest way to improve the sound of the exhaust.
I lost a little bit of HP which was discovered by my trap speeds at the track, when I installed the Corsa, I regained my lost power. The loss is not that great and on the street isn't even noticable.
I have these: http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-3-119-6754.html
They were on the car when I bought it 3 years ago. Not too loud but definitely not quiet. I get a small degree of interior resonance, but not enough to be distracting. It's passed NJ inspection twice with no issues. As a matter of fact, whoever gets in the car at the inspection station seems to like romping on it to hear the exhaust. The smile on their face says it all- haha.

I had them on mine but a BBC with 2" primaries sound a little different. I replaced them with stock LT1 muffs to quiet it down a bit. I think that if you use them and leave the rest stock you may get the improvement in tone you want until you get the $$$ for a complete system.
Don't expect any real performance gain IMHO
Sound quality bites but you get an idea at idle and how nasty it can get under power

I just had mine done at the local exhaust shop for 75 bucks using the same lt1 tips, i love the sound and theres a decent rumble. All and all i think its the best sound for the money
