86 seat question

Default 86 seat question
are the seat frames (shells) different for sport seats and regular? The reason I'm asking is the lumbar stuff doesnt work, and the bezels are broken, and I will need new seat foam anyway. Figured since the stuff doesnt work, I would recover the seats to non sport style. Anyone done this?

The shells are different. The sport seat backs are stapled to the shells.
I put standard seats into my shells and the holes from the staples do
show. Benny
