I saw that show a month or so ago. It was really cool they drove from California to Nashville. It would be great to see a similar show on the many corvette cruises like the ones to the NCM for various events. I love those HD cable channels. There are some really cool car shows on...I always look at the guide to try not to miss one. TDB
Back in the early '90's, the wife and I drove the old '67 on many a NCRS road trip. One memorable one in '95 was from Albert Lee, Minn. to Steamboat Springs Colo. It took 4 days and we went through some of the most beautiful country in the USA! The drive through Rocky Mountain State Park was breathtaking. If you remember, back in '95, that was the summer that we had weeks of 105 degree temps. The old '67 327/350 HP with A/C never missed a beat, and kept us cool the whole trip. AHHH memories are made of this.
Would I do this again? ---In a heartbeat--When do we leave?
Come along on the Hot Rod Power Tour and find out.
7 Cities in 7 Days
My 1996 LT4:
Power Tour 2006: 3,996 miles
Rolla, MO > Orlando, FL > Englishtown, NJ > Rolla, MO
Power Tour 2007: 2,528 miles
Rolla, MO > Cleavland, OH > Little Rock, AR > Rolla, MO
Power Tour 2008: 2,228 miles
Rolla, MO > Little Rock, AR > Madison, WI > Rolla, MO
Been there done that--NEVER AGAIN! Unless your a long hauler, you might as well be on your own! It was not well organized, and geared more towards the "Hot Rod Elite."

I wouldn't do it either unless I was doing the Long Haul. Or at least 2 or 3 stops.
It's not an event you just want to come to one stop. Way too hard to organize 3,000+ cars in one venue.
But the Power Tour is all about the drive between the venues! That is where the attraction is.
Driving through some of the smaller towns off the main interstates. Some of these towns line the street as you go through.
If all you do is pull into one venue to see this tour, your going to miss most of it and be very disappointed.

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
