The crossfire Corvette with the 4+3 blew the C4's image from the get go. The C5 happened so long after the CrossFire cars that they got a fresh rep. The updated look of the C5 is, IMHO, as nice as the newest C6's and C7's.

I just bought a '90 ZF 6 speed, Black on black, all optioned car for $2300; she's in pretty nice shape too. While she was getting trucked to me from Colorado, another truck hit the truck my car was on; and of course my car was at the bottom end of the truck so the rear bumper and quarters need replacing, as does the front bumper from hitting the car chained down ahead of mine.

So, for me it's a no brainer. The C5 kit for me, and their insurance is paying for the whole job, even a new Lamborghini Matte Black paint job, Stainless performance center exhaust system, headlights, alignment, tires, power antenna... I found a really nice C5 conversion for $599. The prices are dropping on the older the C4's, as the company's are working on the newer C5 to C6 and/or C7 conversions. My first Vette. And I am already hooked. Why I never bought one earlier I'll never know...

As far as motor goes: My friend at HP is putting on a single turbo kit with the Super-Ram that he just happens to have even though they're no longer made, score! Will be port matched to my AFR 245cc heads and aluminum 428 all forged short block and some Nitrous, & water, direct ported into the manifold. Should be good for 1,000 + rwhp. With a fresh, all new interior, I will have an awesome looking car, inside and out, that will easily out perform the new LS9, mods or no.
