I need help looking for a new set of GY GSC tires. I need the stock 255/45-17 and the 285/40-17 both front and rear and left and right. They have been disconinued, but I really like them and want them back on. So, if anyone knows where I might be able to locate a set of four, email me. Or what type of tire are you all using in place of them on your c4. Thanks
Firestone SZ50s are the best in my opinion, especially if you need wet traction. Dunlop Sports or Micheline Pilots are also popular, the Goodyears are the WORST tires for C4's. Plus these are cheaper

Remember you asked for them www.tirerack.com They still show the GSCs in stock.
Have you ever run another tire on your corvette? There is a reason Goodyear discontinued the GSC yanno? They are terrible tires :
I'm currently sold on the Michelin Pilots. They ARE a bit pricy...but i got over 50K on the first set even with some "aggressive" driving. Great wet traction too. MY 2nd choise is the Firehawks. I can't foresee Goodyears on one of my vettes again.
I just got brand spanking new Kumhos put on yesterday, and I like them. I have run both Goodyears and Michellins. I have to say that from the testing I have done so far the Kumhos, they stick better and have a better ride then the others. Good luck in your search.
I've used Kumhos, Goodyears, and Dunlops.
I like the Kumho's best by far.
i'm deciding on new tires right now i got bfgoodrich comp t/a's but i want to get kumho's but well canada doesn't seem to have them so i will probably get pirelli's.

They discontinued the Comp T/A's. The only one that you can get is the drag radial.
Been running the Falken Z Tire......Really good tire in wet and dry at a good price too....Think I'm gonna get the Pilot Sport's this time around.......If's there's not a lot of difference between the two, I'll switch back to the falken's...
Well, I was not going to put a set of GSC's on again but on the way down to San Diego I had a rf tire let go at about 80mph. Spare had a little, not much, air in it. So drove to a GY store about 1 mile away. Went to three stores, including Firestone store and no one had a tire in stock. Then went back to GY and they had two rf tires (?). So, I bought the tire and went on my way. So, GSC's are going back on. And yes I had those BFG's COMP T/A's on my 90 and they were REAL BAD. Did not like them at all.
Well, I'm still running on the GSC run flat tires that came on my car (I've only had it a month..) :). My rears are brand new (and grip well) and the fronts are the factory ones still. On my previous car (1998 Camaro SS) I replaced the CRAPPY GSCs with some Bridgestone Potenza RE730s. I loved them. Would buy those again. (or Khumo Ecstas. Almost the same preformance, and CHEAP)
