Well I was on the freeway and took a left so I turned on the signal and all was normal , then I tryed to take a right and flopp no click the turn signal just flops and doesn't click so I'm guessing it has something to do with the switch itself , can some one help me out
Sounds like your switch broke but I am no mechanic. I noticed mine seems a little loose also and am affraid this is going to happen to me. I have heard others talk about this. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will respond.
A common problem and a PITA to fix. You'll need a new "multi-function switch" GM part number 26015119. You can get these from your local Chevy dealer, or order from Superior Chevrolet in Merriam KS 800.728.8267, www.superchevyperformance.com. Ask for Chris May -- he's a Forum member. The switch is about $125 and while you have it apart, replace the cam (26047013) also.
The steering column needs to come off, all the way down to the dash. You'll need a special GM (Saginaw) tool to remove the spring clip once the sterling wheel is off. Do a search (if it's working yet ) -- I think that there's a Tech Sheet on this repair. Good luck.
