Default don't drive in the rain...

Or this will happen

Had it in for a windshield and they found the windshield frame was all rusty. All fixed up now and Safelite did a kick *** job on it

a good reason to take you top off now and then.

Seems like your gasket had issues.

For over five years, I've been driving in the rain with no ill effects.
Driving in the rain includes two hurricanes.

Driving in the rain didn't cause the damage in those pictures. Lack of proper maintenance did.

was a jole, get it??.... guess not

youse guys make me laugh, nothing wrong with the seal or maintenance, it is just water that gets blown up under the metal trim and sits in between the windshield and the gasket channel and does it's dirty work

glass guys said it was very common on C4s, even here in California

No, your '89 has one it's right next to the ignition tube. Check it out it may need greased

It was an 80 degree day here in Missouri, so what better thing to do than pull the Vette out and grease the jole....the performance was incredible when finished......

Well I took your advice and greased my jole and the ignition tube. Now my car won't start! I hope you weren't just making a jome at my expense!

You greased your Ignition Tube Wipe the Tube off quickly as grease will corrode your Framising Circuit inside. You're only suppose to grease the Jole.

No Jome intended

What's rain?

Looks like someone did a crummy job on a previous install or the Factory got it wrong.

Look closely at the type of rust shown there. That is not from driving in the rain - it's from washing the car! Poor mistreated Vette - how would you like it if somebody took a hose and blasted YOU in the face every Saturday!

Don't chrome your jole, dude. A chromed jole is right up there with spinner hubcaps. Way too "ghetto" for a Vette. Now a powder coated jole is a whole other story. Just don't grease your jole before sending it out for powder coating.
