Picked up my '94 coupe from the body/paint shop yesterday evening after my neighbor backed into the rear bumper. Good news is very pleased with the work (and my neighbor paid) but as I was putting my stuff back into the car this morning found a mystery part that had fallen behind the passenger seat.
It's a 5" plastic disc-shaped piece with a number "83079" on the reverse between the outer edge and the outermost rib. Pictures are below but looking at the microfiche parts catalog which I have on CD I can't find anything like it. So I would appreciate any help as to whether it's from the car and if so, what it is called, where it goes and how complicated it is to replace it.
As the pictures show the "front" is covered with dirt which suggests that side was down but as much time as I've spent under the car I don't remember anything like it.
It does look similar to the drawing in the FSM. I can't imagine why he would take it off and wonder if it was loose and he set it it in the car to ask the shop foreman or me and then forgot. I guess I'll learn Monday and appreciate your help.
