Hope you are having a better day, I know the weather is killing most of you guys on the east coast. My 95 LT1 reached to 100,000 miles on Saturday. Earlier that day, I was driving to San Diego to meet with The Varmits and go on our monthly run and on a flat road, going 84 MPH the LT1 was giving 21 MPG. I took these picture to share with you all. My LT1 has few bolt ons only.
Vortex ram air, 52mm TB, shorty headers and Magnaflow Cat X Back.
My vette is still too new to me so I don't car about the mpg. I do know that it is better than my Durango. I think I have seen 21mpg on mine, I do know tonight driving home it was only reading 15.6 when I looked at it. But alot of times my estimates are off because I remote start my vehicles which burns the mpg away.
My gets from 20.5 75mph and air at lowest to 27.4 at very best 55mph and no air. Went to Texas last year and highway miles averaged little over 22 overall.
My mods are full cat back Corsa with pacemaker shorty headers,K&N with complete air intake track mods all rubbers replaced to smooth and air foil and open air box and bigger throttle body housings with screens removed. I have 3.07 gears.
My 92 convert best I ever got was 31 but it had 2.59 gears.
When my 92 LT1 was stock, I got 27-28 MPG on the highway at 65 MPH. It went down to 22-24 when I put in 3.54 gears. Now I'm down to 20 MPG, but that's with a 383 LT1 that does the quarter in 11.55 sec.
Your mileage (and driving habits!) may vary..............
I get +/- 17mpg in around town "mixed" driving, 25+ mpg at 75 to 80, and an honest 30 mpg at 70 mph if I hold a steady speed and behave myself! That's in my 92 convertible 6 spd with the top up!
