Ive always been a fan of Goodyear.
Even though I just got my 2nd set of BFGs, I'd have to say Goodyear. They're just so darn expensive...
Also, I'm assuming BF Goodrich G-force T/A-KD compared to Goodyear Eagle GS-D3...

Good Years are just too expensive, most of the time.
Just replaced Kumho's....difference is night and day. The car rolls much better....like new. Don't know about the BFGs....I assume it's a good tire. Can't beat the GS-D3's, but I agree that they are very expensive.

I was in the market a year ago and ran across a skid pad comparision across 10 popular performance tires; both on wet and dry.
As I recall, the BFG KDs were a few 100ths of a G (force) better than the GY F1 GS D3s on dry. However, on wet the GYs were nearly as good on the wet as dry, whereas the BFGs fell off around .4 G. (Sorry to be so vague, but I don't have the article, but mebby a Google search would come up with it?)
I had the BFG KDs on my 95 Vette, and they were impressive on dry. But, I did have some moments when my butt puckered up a bit on a wet off ramp or two!
So, when it came time to put rubber on the ZR-1, I went with the GY F1 GS D3s, thinking a few 100ths G on dry was a good trade for several 10ths on wet. I can tell you that on wet the GY -D3s are MUCH better than the BFGs I had. MUCH better!
I guess it would depend on the driving and your application. If yours is a fair weather warrior w/o much chance of driving in the rain, the BFGs might be the ticket. But, for those times when I get caught in the rain, I'm reaaaaallly happy to be riding on the GYs.
Your mileage may vary.

For what it's worth I bought the GS D3s and have nothing but great things to say about them.
I'm in the market again but looking for something a little more aggressive and more affordable. If mine was a daily driver I'd buy again for sure.

The article you refer to was probably the Car and Driver tire comparo. I think it's about 2 years old now. I just pulled it up again a few weeks ago on the C and D site but am too lazy to look for it now.

Oops, over 3 years old. Wonder how the GS D3s would fare now against some newer options.

Love my BFGs
