It was nice outside this weekend so i decided to swap my seat cushions. After 50k miles the driver seat was showing a little wear on the outside bolster. These are the standard seats. The cushions took about 5 minutes to remove all four pieces and swap them. While the cushions were out I removed the frames (4 bolts) and cleaned under the seats. I found about $3 worth of change under the driver's seat and it isn't my daily driver. Had I known it was this easy I would have done this along time ago. Nice little free project.
91 Vette, It's very easy. They just snap in. One on the bottom and 4 on the backs. I plan on getting new covers also. Even thought about the Wet Okoles too.
Hey! no school wednsday-- just found somthing to do- Ive looked before and it seems like the cussion (cover & foam) wont come off the frame without breaking somthing. do you have pics of tthese tabs or can you explain this to me a little better?
Hey Jsailor24 I can do one better. We live in the same town. I can show you in person. I am off work Wednesday and would be glad to show you. As long as the weather holds out. Not sure about sport seats but the standard seats are very easy. There is a metal handle at the front of the base of the seat. Push down on the cushion and pull down on the handle and then push it towards the back of the seat. The lower cushion just lifts out. For the backs, push in toward the center on the outside edge of the cushion about half way down the side. As you push in pull out toward the steering wheel to make sure it is unclipped. There is a clip on the opposite side as well. There are two clips in the headrest also. Follow the same procedure. Don't be afraid of hurting the cushion you might have to use some force to push in on the headrest. Once you get the first clip it is very easy.
Glock....you didn't accidentally trip over the cord while you were programming did you? :nono: What happened to the computer? You are using the LT1_edit software, right?
