Default Help

Hello,
i was working on my car and the plastic connector for the o2 sensor just broke into little bits. Can i get a new one and splice it in and where would i find such a thing!

What brand of O2 sensor should i get. should i go to the steakership and get on there.

Thanks for all your help

Steve

Yes, you can splice a new connector to the existing wiring. You should be able to locate a new connector at the local auto supply. Good luck!

Most folks have good luck with Bosch O2 sensors.

I just installed a couple of Denso's, but haven't had them on long enough to discover whether or not they're good. Price was right, though.

If your going to splice a new connector onto the wires I suggest you also get three small pieces of "Heat Shrink" tubing. Two smaller ones for each wire and use the larger dia. tube to slide over both wire and give it a much cleaner look.
