Interchangeable Alternators

I have 85 vette needing a new alternator, the one in it currently is a 120 amp, but this one is proving to be VERY difficult to find and when I can the price isn't very friendly. I was told by multiple parts dealers in town that the stock alternator is the 108A or 105A and I wanna make sure if that'd be enough to power my car or if I'd need to hunt down the 120A?

Keep the one you have now......simple to fix.
If you are not up to fixing yours (Motorolas are the easiest alt's to repair ), drop it off at a starter/alternator rebuild shop and let them do it.

BINGO. A winna. Unless either the windings or the armature are damaged repairng an alternator is quick and easy.
