I just purchased a SSL Certificate from Network Solutions to give CruiserBlvd.com and you the ultimate in internet security. It wasn't cheap, but I wanted to make sure everyone on the forum felt safe ordering on the site. During these tough economic times we all need to feel good about our information being protected. The SSL Certificate won't be visible on the site for a day or two while they verify information. Anyway, if anyone has been sitting on the fence because of a fear of ordering online you can get off the fence now.

Here is some more info from Network Solutions:

All Network Solutions® SiteSafe™ services include a limited Guarantee to provide your Web site visitors with assurance that your site is a safe place to transact online business. This guarantee is payable to your Web site visitors, relying on your SiteSafe services, who incur losses resulting directly from an online credit card transaction as a result of a mis-issued SiteSafe SSL Certificate or Site Confirm Seal. This guarantee is limited to $1,000 per transaction, and the aggregate guarantee amount per security service is $1,000,000.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the transaction security protocol used by Web sites to protect online communications. The most common use of SSL is to provide protection for confidential data, such as entering personal details or credit card information into a Web site.

The SSL Certificate provides two primary functions:

SSL Encryption allows data to be transmitted over computer networks in a secure manner
Identity assurance (validation) allows the business running the site to 'prove' that they are who they claim to be
Once a secure transaction is initiated, (i.e. click the Submit or Buy button to begin a transaction on a Web site), there are four basic steps taken to establish a secure connection:

The browser checks the SSL Certificate to make sure that it is valid and that the site you are connecting to is legitimate.
Data encryption levels are established based on what the browser and Web site server can both use to understand each other.
The browser and server send each other unique codes to use when encrypting the information that will be sent.
The browser and server start talking using the encryption, the Web browser shows the encrypting icon, and the Web pages and information are processed securely.

Corvette505,

I'm sorry you feel that way. As you probably know other forum sponsors/vendors also post in C4 General. As you might not know we pay a lot of money to be supporting sponsors so you and other forum members can continue to enjoy this website free of charge. It is called advertising and you will see it just about everywhere, even in New Mexico. You probably use some form of advertising in whatever business you are in. Some people might find it tiresome or annoying, but I bet you or your boss continue to advertise. I think we would all like to watch commercial-free television...actually you can...it is called HBO and it isn't free. My point is if there isn't advertising supporting it you will probably have to pay for a service. Would you like to pay $25 a month to post on an advertisement-free Corvette Forum? My suggestion is that if I am so annoying to you don't click on my thread.

The For Sale/Wanted to Buy forum is for people buying and selling cars. Maybe you meant the Parts for Sale forum.

This poster is really awesome in person. It is more like a large photographic print (16" x 24") than a poster. The yellow cars against the green background and the white lettering really makes the scene "pop" for lack of a better word.

I just mailed out one of these yesterday. The paper stock is so thick on this poster it automatically upgrades your postage to Priority (at no extra cost to you) because this one poster and tube weighs 14 ounces and can't be sent First Class. Normally it takes 3 or 4 posters to bump up to Priority from First Class (13 ounces is the max for first class tubes).

The quality of this poster is outstanding and there is stamped silver embossing on the 1,000,000th CORVETTE lettering (you can see the stamp impression tooling mark on the back of this incredibly heavy poster). The artwork on the smaller C1 - C3 cars is superb.

I forgot to add that this is a 17-year-old poster that looks brand-new!

I recently added this as a photo on my website header at CruiserBlvd.com. I think it is a superb work of art.
