Hi folks, I need to get the shifter console off my 89 auto convert. While I realize there is not a lot of "easy" tasks, it seems like this should'nt be so tough. I can get it part way off from the back, and have determined my shift cable has come out of it's support bracket in there, which is why I started the project. There are tabs on the front side of the console, that prevent it from sliding out, but I didn't want to pull the whole dash apart. I searched the threads, and perhaps I don't enter the right keywords, but I couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance for your help.

The center info panel in the middle needs to come off before console will come off.
