Couple of questions. How old is the car? Do you run every few days? C4's are notorious for draining batteries. I have been thru 4 in the last six years. Put up a little more info.

Yes door switches can go bad keeping the courtesy lights on and activating the theft alarm. GM says leakage current should not exceed 50 milliamps. Also, car batteries should not be left sitting doing nothing for long periods (4+ wks) because all lead acid batteries self discharge up to 1% each day even disconnected and if not charged up periodically their plates get coated with lead sulfate which is a good insulator and your battery then is a door stop. Buy a battery tender and keep your battery charged. Battery tenders measure the battery voltage and when the battery loses 10% of its capacity, the tender charges it up and then shuts off.
