Thanks to all that responded. I checked errror codes and had a code # 32 registered. I am going to investigate my EGR valve system. Can someone pinpoint me in the right direction to find the location of the EGR valve. Also, wanted to change fuel filter. Can someone help me with that location as well.

Thanks

The fuel filter should be just behind the passenger front wheel near the frame rail, the EGR valve on your L98 is not easily accessible, but the problem could also be an issue with a vacuum line or the solenoid.
To diagnose properly you need a factory service manual, without it aside from a good visual inspection all you can to is throw parts at the problem.
Check E-bay and the C4 Parts for sale forum here, you may find a bargain on the FSM, but whatever you pay will quickly be offset by savings in parts and labor.
See this link for a good description of EGR function, note in particular paragraph #5, it may apply to your situation, good luck.
