Why does Consumer reports rate the reliability of all of the vettes much worse than average but the customer satisfaction is much greater than average?

To me that says most Corvette owners understand that while upkeep of a high performance car may be greater than that of a Toyota Camry the driving pleasure and satisfaction of ownership is worth the expense.

What other car can you get in and 12 hours later you are 1000 miles from where you started? At that has been my experience-I live in Ark and usually go west, I realize I probably can't do this going to New York.
I've got an old 94 with 105 K on it now, just replaced the Opti and WP and plugs and wires and if I wanted to go to California, I'd just throw some clothes in the back and leave. I'd get gas when I needed it. I do a road trip about 3 or 4 times and year, usually about 4 or 5 K miles and love it. Best road trip car I've ever owned.

Oh, BTW, I don't have to take my shoes off or leave my pistol at home or go thru a metal detector and sit in the little room waiting to talk to the TSA folks.

Reason: forgot stuff
I don't get it. I've had my 96 for 6 years, it now has 70k miles, and it's the most trouble free car I've owned. Only tires, oil changes, and routine maintenance, never a problem.

You want to know how reliable a new Corvette is,hang out in C6 for awhile
Consumer reports has a love affair with Japan. And I subscribe to the mag. I don't know if I totally buy all the Japanese quality stuff. I had a 1992 Accord, I just recently sold. I bought it with 70K on it sold it with 177K. I put more money into that car than I ever have my Corvette or any other car I have owned.
Another thing about them is they rely a great deal on people to write them and rate the cars so I as I know the Japanese make good cars are they really the best?? Or any better than a Corvette??? Each have their own experience.
I personally have decided to only buy American cars in the future. New or used.
