OK... here is the deal, my uncle owns a 91 vette, but he is not around anymore. The vehicle was vandalized on the interior... they took averything that they could... We have replaced everything including the entire steering column, and new ignition system, wherein the problem lies.
After installing everything, and I ensure you, it is installed correctly, the car will not start without being hotwired directly from the battery to the distributor. It has an MSD ignition system in it... we don't know where to go from here. We are just trying to get the car started and running the way it should before my Grandfather sells it. Once the vehicle is started after being hotwired, the security light flashes, and once the wire is removed, the vehicle shuts off. Does anyone know what would cause this? We were told that it had something to do with the security system, and there is a combination with the headlights to disable the security system, but we cannot figure it out.
