Default Speaker fitment?

Would a 6 - 6.5 inch speaker fit in a 95? More like COULD?

In the rear and the kick panels? Reason I ask is I have 4 brand new Infinity's sitting in my shop, and my vette has the old bose speakers that sound pretty tired out.

In the kick panel I have, I think, 5 1/4 and the back ar 6x9. In the back you will have to fabricate a plate to install the speakers anyway so I don't see why they wouldn't fit in the back.

One note. The 5 1/4 I have in the front were a waste of money. I can't even hear them but since you already have them why not. Also my 5 1/4 are installed under the carpet and that may have something to do with it. Some folks install the fronts over the carpet. It's your decision. Mine are also Infinity by the way.

You can go to best buys web site and they have tools you can use to see which speakers will fit your car. Just a thought. Good luck

My thoughts exactally. I figure seeing I already have em, I will fab something up!

I noticed that the fronts are like impossible to hear as well! It literally seems like we are driving a car with only 2 speakers in the back...

Keep in mind though that you will have to change out the wiring and probably the head unit as well. The Bose system has a two part system. the head itself and a CDM that actually powers the thing up. It runs on a 2 ohm system and most others are all 4 ohm. so the wires will have to be replaced also. Here is an info site on the forum
