I want to keep the antenna from coming up when the CD player is in use. I know there used to be a thread on this I just can't find it with the search feature the way it is.
Anyone got a link or instructions on how to do this?
When I did mine I just bought a simple on - off toggle switch, wired into hot lead for radio installed switch in center dash panel. Works great stops antenna from working every time I turn on ignition. Cost under $5.00
An aftermarket head unit will do that. I bought a Panasonic that had both a blue and a blue/white wire. If the head unit is on for CD, no antenna, if I switch it to radio, the antenna goes up.
I put my micro switch on backside of the removable top storage pod behind the dirvers seat. I didnt want to put the switch into the console or drill into the IP as the madvet directions indicated. Makes for a very clean install with nobody really knowing its there. GC

Put the switch in console after running wire under carpet and treading under lid. Secured switch with good old velcrow inside console.

Do you have to stop driving & get out of car to operate it?

That does work and mine is the same but I think he wants something that will activate the antenna only when he wants it to be activated. i.e. a switch.
