Just bought a vette!
i checked my injectors while engine was cold and they are all around the 17 ohms
so i think they should be ok! i will have to check them when the engine is at operating temperature aswell!
as far as i know they could be new?
what colour are the original injectors?
those 2 pin connectors near the front lights under the hood are or the engine bay lights! thanks guys for that info, i tried them today!

it seems the car must have been serviced not long ago, the oil is still transluscent brown and the trans fluid is the same but red! so it seems good!
think i will replace the spark plugs tho!
the ones in it are NGK BKR5E or something like that from memory(i should have written it down)

are these the correct type? thanks
Tyson
and thanks for the help to my questions, they are very welcomed.
especially Paul Workman, this helps lots!

i intend on getting a Service manual, i have been told to get a Hains manual, but i will see if we have Helms over here in Australia!
Ok cool thats for letting me know about the SES light coming on before startup! should it go away once the fuel has been primed or only after the engine has started?
i will check the injectors out for resistance after next drive, car idles on 550 rpm which is norm going by plaque under hood! so thats good!

also i think i read somewhere that all coupes got the x brace from 90 onwards, is this true? as while driving mine with the targa off, it didn't feel any different
oh and yes my vin has L in it not K, so it must be considered a 90 model!

can someone please tell me how many litres of oil it takes to fill, and what kind Mobil 1 fully syn? or mobil* semi syn? or some other brand?
thanks Tyson
ps i hope you all get to see the SES light very soon in spring

just starting it up, it's a nice feeling! even with stock exhaust it still sounds awesome!

I too was very surprised to find this car with rego and still be left hand drive!
I have heard that cars newer than a certain month in 1988, (not sure what month!)
have to be converted to right hand drive.
but
apparently if it was registered before that law came into effect then it is ok!
but if i had to licensed it now i am sure i would have to convert it!
well i certainly hope it is licensed as left hand drive!

Not too sure about the legislation of Queensland, but over in W.A this is the case
any older cars are fine! must have year of manufacture before (*month of 1988)

oh and its Autumn here now, so not much driving it in the rain!
