Default Looking at another VETTE...

It's me again - I passed on the 1979 vette after I took everyone's advice and checked it out a little more.
Now I'm looking at a 1994 (glass-top) vette with almost 70K miles.
Do I look at the same things on this one that I look at on the 79, i.e. frame and door panel rust; shims on the wheels; and of course body lines. I can get a carfax on this one - which I couldn't get on the 79.
Problem is the 79 fit like a glove and drove like a dream - it just felt right. I will be driving the 94 today.... What do you think?
Thanks,

I think you will like the C4.

Don't be concerned with rust on the door panels. Corvettes have a special body treatment that prohibits rust.

There's a good buyer's guide here:

Also check the C4 For Sale section for comparison purposes.

Best of luck!

The C-4 over the C-3 is a good move.

My 93 fits like a glove and drives better than a C3. Don't get me wrong because I like the C3s but a C4 is a better driving car. Between 79 and 94 GM made a lot of improvements in the Corvettes so you would be getting a much improved car.

I'm looking at a C5 right now. Price is right, could be moving to the C5 forum.
