I'll Pm you my contact info! I've been wanting to get down to Ft Fisher and take a few pics too!
I was on the way back to work and decided at the last second to hang a right and snap a few pics. Of course, I wasn't in any hurry to get back to work!
Here's a preview!

Mike, some would say I've been 'out to lunch' for years!

Thank you sir! It's well worth the effort, IMO! It's by far the best modification I've made (and the cheapest too!) Well, as long as you don't include the total time spent on project!

Nice pics, David. Your lowering work really paid off. That's just the perfect stance for the C4. I wish I had lowered mine a little more but you and I both know that's not going to happen! Nice boat you've got there. Must have set you back a bit.

I have a couple of questions about the lowering job on your car. How much did that change the way it rides and do you have much trouble scraping the front spoiler. The ride is what worries me the most because I love cruising and don't want to mess that up.

Well, If anything (to me, anyway), it seems to be better. It's really like sitting in a go-cart now, and the handling is spot on. You just have to be extra careful around speedbumps! This one at work gets me 99% of the time, no matter how I approach it. (There's no way around it, as it's in the center of the freaking gate entrance!) I don't have any regrets/complaints whatsoever. Of course, mine isn't the lowest I've seen on here either!!
I'd say, do it!

Okay ... you convinced me ... mine needs to be lowered. Let's hook up and we'll take care of that.

Feel free to ask any questions you have when you get started! You can pm me and I'll send you my direct contact info too.
Plus, there are a lot of lowering veterans on here that can help too!

I've wanted to lower mine for a long time and seeing the way yours sits is going to accelerate that project.....yours is exactly the way I want mine. Does it drag pulling that boat?

If it doesn't drag pulling that thing I'm going to put mine on jack stands and get started right now.

Thanks for the offer of help, and I'll probably take you up on it later. I'm going to go at this project pretty slow. I want to make sure I have all the info and help lined up first so this won't be something I start anytime soon. After reading the thread by PUINSHER VETTE it makes me think about one of my nightmare projects. I've been where He's at, you get to a point where you just can't seem to get through it,even though you do in the end. That's a road I don't want to go down again if I can help it.

Thanks! I just have to air up the shocks and it'll jerk it right out of the water!! Only at high tide though

That's the way I did mine as well. I found every article I could on the forums, printed them out, and had a nice stack on info ready to go along with the FSM's when I started. I probably procrastinated for several months before I decided to give it a go. It's not a DD, so I wasn't in a hurry (Good thing!), and it took a little over 2 weeks for completion for the front (rear, a few hours). Granted, I only really got to work on it at night, and there were a few evenings I didn't even go out there and look at it (Especially when I was stuck trying to get that ball joint removed from the lower control arm)That still brings back bad memories!)
