Who will win?
a friend of mine has challenged me to a race a the local strip that is an 1/8 of a mile, but Im not to sure I can pull it off.
He drives a 98 stang GT w/ intake, headers, and exhaust and he has an atx. He just bought the car and had the mods on it, and we both think there are some more mods on it, but we have not had time to pin point anything else.
So in an 1/8, can I beat him?

It's a little hard to tell, but I would think you shouldn't have a problem with him. Mustang GT's are dogs and it takes a good bit of mods to get them to perform at the level of a stock LT1. You have mods also, so I'd say you got him.

I got into a street race (late at night on a well-lit deserted street for you naysayers) with a similar 5.0 recently, trounced him easily, and I'm just a bit better than stock. Think lb/hp.

Depends on the launch. That '98 stock should be about a 14.5 ride which translates into something about a 9.4 1/8 mile around 76mph.

Unless you miss a shift you shouldn't have any problems with the GT. :smash: In a 1/8 mile you don't have much time to make up for errors.

i dont know about you, but ive stomped several stock to lightly modded 96-98 gt's easily. They usually dont put up much of a fight.
